Our clients are looking for an experienced Property Manager to join their current team of six, based in our office in Bethnal Green. They are a professional and forward-thinking London-based property agency, specialising in providing high quality, fully managed, flat-sharing accommodation.

The position would suit someone looking for a long-term position, to join a dedicated team with a professional approach, and a family spirt in the office. You should have an interest in advancing your career in the property industry and be keen to learn more about end-to-end property investment, development, lettings, and property management. There would also be an opportunity for funded study towards the industry standard qualifications provided by ARLA.

You will oversee the property management and maintenance aspects of our clients portfolio of 60 rental properties (220 rooms)


Expected annual earnings £33,000 - £35,000.

Basic Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (dependant on experience) + commissions

Working Hours 40 hour week arranged flexibly over the office opening hours. Monday to Friday

Role & Responsibilities

  • Respond to all reported maintenance issues at properties.

  • Obtain competitive quotes for any maintenance work

  • Where applicable, ensure full recovery of all external costs from landlords or tenants, as appropriate. Including, managing deposit deduction arrangements, and disputes.

  • Oversee and manage the work of a Junior Property Manager, and the tradesmen/ contractors

  • Lead Property Management elements of team meetings - daily heads up meeting with Maintenance team, bi-weekly team meetings, and fortnightly Managers/ Director meeting.

  • Ensure accuracy of utility bills, broadband, council tax, service charge and TV licensing. Ensure tenants are recharged in line with the fair usage policy.

  • Ensure all properties meet, and continue to meet, HMO regulations, and have the necessary HMO licences and associated compliance certificates .

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all inventory and property inspection reports.

  • Ensure accuracy of all property management elements of tenant Check-out (Damages & Inventory) reports.

  • Coordinate full property renovations and setup steps, including interior design and selection and ordering of furniture and appliances.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing a portfolio of residential properties

  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • A passion for developing your career

  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years' experience as a Property Manager

A driving licence is not required.
