A highly established Property Company has an excellent opportunity for a part time Rent Recovery Officer who is ambitious, organised and motivated to deliver results.
Job Title: Rent Recovery Officer
Salary: £15,000 to £22,500 Per Annum - Part Time (15-20 hours per week)
Working Hours: Flexible Monday to Friday - 3 to 4 days per week - Office based
Location: South Woodford

DUTIES:
- Monitor rent accounts and take prompt action on arrears
- Provide guidance on Universal Credit claimsincluding the housing element
- Set up Alternative Payment Arrangements (APAs) for high-risk tenants
- Conduct affordability assessments and create sustainable repayment plans
- Prepare evidence and support court proceedings for possession claims
- Liaise with Housing Benefit teams to resolve complex payment disputes
- Support eviction processes where legal possession is granted
ABOUT YOU:
- Experience in rent collection or debt recovery, ideally in social housing or local authorities
- Knowledge of Welfare Reform, UC impacts, and landlord-tenant legislation
- Strong negotiation and communication skillsIT literate: CRM systems & Microsoft Office
- High numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Resilient, organised, and target-driven
